Welcome to the Department of Automotive Engineering at Hanoi University of Science and Technology. Thank you for taking the time to visit the site and learn more about our department.

Department of Automotive Engineering was established in 1966 and has a duty to educate, research, and transfer technology to automotive and other ground-vehicles industries. The Bachelor of Automotive Engineering Program’s objective in our Department is to provide the graduates with:

  • Solid background knowledge in order to well adapt to various works in the transportation engineering field
  • Professional skills and personal characteristics needed to be successful in their career and their further study at the engineer, master, and doctoral levels, both domestic and overseas;
  • Essential social skills to work effectively in the interdisciplinary groups and international environment
  • Ability to design and implement projects and operate equipment, conforming to the socio-economic and environmental context
  •  Political character, morality, willingness to serve people and health in order to meet high requirements for motherland construction and protection

The program would offer advanced and upgrading theoretical knowledge about automotive engineering to ensure the integration with regional countries and the connection of training levels. The first graduated course is launched in 1977, and the first Ph.D. student in the department graduated in 1991.

Department of Automotive Engineering is always closely associated with the automotive industry and centers of researching specialized automotive all over the country. Students and teachers of the department are the main responsible or participating in much scientific research and transferring technology projects that have been used in real manufacturing.
