The program aimed to acknowledge and celebrate the remarkable efforts of students in learning, research, and innovation, while inspiring future generations to continue pursuing academic excellence, creativity, and professional development.

The event was attended by Prof. Phạm Văn Sáng, Vice Rector of the School of Mechanical Engineering; Prof. Vũ Toàn Thắng, Head of the Department of Mechatronics; Assoc. Prof. Khổng Vũ Quảng, Head of the Department of Automotive Engineering; Dr. Lê Đức Dũng, Head of the Department of Thermal Energy Engineering; Assoc. Prof. Vũ Thanh Tùng, Vice Head of the Department of Manufacturing Engineering; Assoc. Prof. Nguyễn Thùy Dương, Deputy Chief of the School Office; Dr. Nguyễn Minh Quân, Secretary of the School Youth Union; program directors; and more than 400 students who achieved outstanding academic and research accomplishments.

In his opening remarks, Prof. Phạm Văn Sáng congratulated the honored students and highly appreciated the achievements of School of Mechanical Engineering students over the past year. He noted that the number of students participating in scientific research activities across Hanoi University of Science and Technology had increased by more than 40% compared to previous years, reflecting the strong passion, creativity, and aspiration for scientific discovery among HUST students.

Prof. Phạm Văn Sáng also emphasized that students of the School of Mechanical Engineering possess a significant advantage in connecting research with practical applications through innovative products, prototypes, and engineering solutions. While the number of scientific publications has continued to grow, he expressed his expectation that students would further strengthen the development of practical and application-oriented research products in the coming years.

Particularly, during Semester 2025.2, 431 students from the School of Mechanical Engineering received Academic Encouragement Scholarships, including many students who achieved an excellent cumulative GPA of 4.0. These accomplishments demonstrate the dedication, perseverance, and academic excellence of the students.

Looking ahead to 2027, the School aims to achieve even greater success in both scientific publications and practical research outcomes. He encouraged students to actively participate in research laboratories, academic projects, and extracurricular activities, enabling them not only to excel academically but also to develop a diverse set of skills and competencies required to meet the challenges of the future workforce.

The ceremony continued with the presentation of awards and certificates to students who achieved outstanding results in the 36th National Olympiad in Mechanics, the 36th Student Scientific Research Awards, and the Academic Encouragement Scholarship Program for Semester 2025.2. These achievements are not only a source of pride for the award recipients but also a testament to the quality of education, research, and academic environment at the School of Mechanical Engineering.

The event concluded in a formal and celebratory atmosphere, providing well-deserved recognition to the School’s outstanding students. It also served as a source of motivation for students to continue pursuing excellence in learning, research, and innovation, contributing to the sustainable development and growing reputation of the School of Mechanical Engineering.
