Summary of the industrial internship program at VAS Nghi Son
The program was attended, from the School of Mechanical Engineering, by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Truong Hoanh Son, Rector; Assoc. Prof. Pham Duc An, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Mechatronics; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Tuan Anh, Dean of the Faculty of Manufacturing Engineering; and members of the School's academic staff.
Representing the School of Materials Science and Engineering was Prof. Dr. Bui Anh Hoa, Dean of the Faculty of Materials Engineering.
From VAS Nghi Son Group Joint Stock Company were Mr. Nguyen Anh Dung, Deputy Director; Mr. Pham Quy Giap, Project Director; and the Company's technical staff and engineers.

VAS Nghi Son Highly Appreciates Students' Attitude and Internship Performance
In his opening remarks, Mr. Nguyen Anh Dung, Deputy Director of VAS Nghi Son Group Joint Stock Company, shared an overview of the tasks assigned to the students during their internship and expressed his appreciation for their learning attitude, ability to adapt to professional tasks, and overall internship performance.

Mr. Nguyen Anh Dung also offered practical advice to the students as they prepare to enter the professional workforce. He encouraged young engineers to consider returning to Nghi Son after graduation to further develop their professional expertise, pursue their career aspirations, and contribute to the development of their hometown. In particular, he encouraged students from Thanh Hoa Province to return and contribute their expertise to the development of the province, thereby helping strengthen the local high-quality technical workforce.
Mr. Pham Quy Giap, Project Director of VAS Nghi Son, subsequently shared his personal journey of studying, professional development, and career progression from university graduation to his current position. Drawing on his practical experience, he encouraged students to make effective use of technological advances, academic guidance, and the modern educational environment to continuously acquire knowledge, enhance their competencies, and achieve the best possible outcomes in both their studies and future careers.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung, Head of the Company's Electrical Engineering and Automation Department, also highly appreciated the outcomes of the internship. According to him, the students successfully completed their assigned tasks and had valuable opportunities to experience an actual industrial production environment, thereby gaining a clearer understanding of professional responsibilities and potential career positions. He wished the students continued success in their studies and encouraged them to pursue their aspirations and professional goals.
Bridging Academic Knowledge with Industrial Practice
Speaking at the program, Assoc. Prof. Truong Hoanh Son, Rector of the School of Mechanical Engineering, expressed his appreciation to the leadership, staff, and engineers of VAS Nghi Son for creating favorable conditions for HUST students to study, gain practical experience, and undertake hands-on activities in an actual industrial production environment.

Following the visit and practical experience at the plant, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Truong Hoanh Son emphasized that the internship represented a valuable opportunity for students to directly observe industrial operations, gain practical experience, and apply their academic knowledge to real-world production. Such industrial exposure enables students to better understand professional requirements while developing a clearer perspective on their future career pathways.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Truong Hoanh Son stated that, in the coming period, the School of Mechanical Engineering will continue to develop specialized internship programs for students, particularly those enrolled in advanced and specialized training programs. These programs are expected to provide longer internship periods and content more closely aligned with the practical needs of industry. Through such initiatives, students will not only acquire knowledge and practical experience but also have opportunities to work with enterprises in addressing specific challenges arising from industrial production.

Representing the School of Materials, Prof. Bui Anh Hoa, Dean of the Faculty of Materials Engineering, expressed his appreciation to VAS Nghi Son for accompanying and supporting students throughout the internship. He expressed his hope that the students had gained valuable professional experience and practical knowledge through the program, while affirming the School's commitment to continuing its collaboration with the company in education, research, and the development of human resources in materials engineering.
Students Gain Professional Maturity through Industrial Experience
Among the 43 students from the two schools participating in the program, 20 students majoring in Mechatronics Engineering from the School of Mechanical Engineering completed one month of study and practical experience at VAS Nghi Son.
Speaking at the program, student Pham Minh Quang from the School of Materials Science and Engineering expressed his appreciation to the company for its support throughout the internship. From the beginning of their placement, students received enthusiastic guidance and assistance from the Company's staff, engineers, and workers. This support enabled them to acquire additional knowledge and develop a better understanding of actual industrial production activities.

Student Nguyen Anh Tuan, a Mechatronics Engineering student from the School of Mechanical Engineering, shared that throughout the internship, students received comprehensive support from the company, ranging from daily-life arrangements and technical guidance to career orientation. Direct involvement in specific tasks and exposure to production processes enabled students to strengthen their practical knowledge while developing a clearer understanding of their career prospects after graduation.

The internship also provided students with opportunities to develop professional working practices, teamwork and coordination skills, and the ability to adapt to an industrial production environment. These competencies are essential for narrowing the gap between university education and the practical requirements of the labor market.
Certificates of Internship Completion Presented to 43 Students
In recognition of the students' efforts and achievements during the internship, VAS Nghi Son presented 09 awards to outstanding students who demonstrated excellent performance throughout the program.

At the closing ceremony, representatives of VAS Nghi Son, together with the leadership of the School of Mechanical Engineering and the School of Materials, presented Certificates of Internship Completion to all 43 students. The certificates not only recognize the students' learning and professional development during their time at the company but also represent an important milestone in their preparation for future careers.

The industrial internship program at VAS Nghi Son once again highlights the important role of university–industry collaboration in developing high-quality technical human resources. Building on the positive outcomes of the program, the School of Mechanical Engineering – HUST expects its cooperation with VAS Nghi Son Group Joint Stock Company to continue expanding, with a focus on developing advanced internship programs, applied research activities, and industry-oriented training initiatives. These efforts will contribute to the development of engineers equipped with strong professional expertise, practical skills, and the capacity to meet the evolving demands of modern industry.
