The School of Mechanical Engineering, Hanoi University of Technology is currently training two groups of fields: Mechanical engineering and Mechatronic engineering. In which, the group of Mechanical Engineering has 05 fields of application: Manufacturing technology; Welding technology; Precision mechanics and optics; Metal forming technology; Technology of plastic products. Mechatronic Engineering with 02 fields of application: Industrial mechatronics, Smart mechatronics and Robotics. With a team of experienced scientists including 148 lecturers and staffs, including 3 professors, 27 associate professors, 62 doctors, 41 masters, the School’s professional structure includes 11 departments and 01 center. The School of Mechanical Engineering has the capacity to meet all training needs, from bachelor of technology, bachelor of engineering, engineers, masters and doctorate.
School of Mechanical Engineering always focuses on international cooperation activities and business cooperation to improve the quality of teaching, research and technology transfer activities. The School has cooperation relations with dozens of universities and international research institutes in the field of Mechanical – Mechatronics. In addition, the School also actively maintains and develops cooperation with domestic and foreign businesses. Cooperative activities with business experience such as: regularly exchanging and updating training programs, developing soft skills, foreign languages, as well as enhancing students’ practical experience through business internships.
Institute of Mechanical Engineering has close cooperation with research institutes and universities such as: Institute of Mechanics, Institute IMI, NARIME, University of Industry, Hanoi University of Electricity, University of Transport. , University of Water Resources, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology in training and equipping mechanical knowledge for bachelors, students, MSc and PhD as well as technical staff. In addition, the Institute also maintains and develops with many business partners such as Hitachi, Samsung, Nissan, FPT …
Every year, the School has bilateral and multilateral activities with partners from Universities and Institutes around the world such as: exchange programs with scholars as well as students with the following schools: Griffith University (Australia); University of Leibniz Hannover (Germany); Nagaoka University (Japan); Shibaura Institute of Technology (Japan) .. Mechatronic training program with partners Nagaoka University (NUT), Leibniz University of Hannover and Mechanical Engineering training program with Griffith School.
