EFFICIENCY AND GREEN COOLING

Research areas

• Develop methods to test, evaluate and simulate energy efficiency and energy consumption of cooling systems in the buildings and industrial applications

• Research on optimizing technology of cooling, freezing and drying of food to reduce post-harvest losses, energy costs and GHG emissions, to improve post-harves quality of foods

• Renewable energy and efficient energy use in refrigeration and air conditioning for reducing GHG emission; Energy and GHG audit

• CFD and dynamic simulation of refrigeration and air conditioning equipment and systems at the given test conditions

• Alternative refrigerants and management of refrigerants (inventory and MRV of refrigerants) in cooling systems in life cycle assessment and linkage of carbon credit and other incentives
