Throughout seventy years of establishment and development, Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) has been more than just a cradle of knowledge, science, and technology; it has evolved into a green, humanistic, and sustainable academic environment in the heart of the Capital.
In response to this historic 70-year milestone, the faculty and staff of the School of Mechanical Engineering designed, fabricated, and installed a dovecote within the HUST campus—a project small in scale but profound in spirit. It represents the perfect crystallization of technical intellect, creative hands, and a heart oriented toward peace and nature of the teachers at the School of Mechanical Engineering - HUST.

Nestled among the green trees, lawns, and open spaces of HUST, the dovecote stands as a gentle highlight, evoking an image of tranquility and harmony among humans, science, and the environment. Every bird that perches here carries a silent yet deep message: scientific advancement goes hand in hand with the responsibility to preserve a green, clean, and sustainable living environment.
This project bears witness to the HUST spirit over the past 70 years—a place where knowledge is built not only to conquer scientific heights but also to serve society, spread humanistic values, and nurture the future.
In the ever-evolving green space of Hanoi University of Science and Technology today, the dovecote by the School of Mechanical Engineering has become a beautiful symbol of a university grounded in intellect, deep in humanity, and enduring through time.
Representing the faculty and staff, the School’s Board of Management released four pairs of doves into the dovecote, with the hope that they will soon adapt to their new home and stay long-term, contributing to the ecological beauty and peaceful atmosphere of the HUST campus.
