Research

The Department’s main research areas include:

Developing research directions related to industrial tools (cutting tools, molds …) and traditional machining such as increasing tool life, automatic tool selection, tool design problems industry, grinding wheel …, technology and equipment to process difficult parts for the industry such as bevel gears, deep hole machining.

CAD / CAM / CAE technology: computer application in designing and manufacturing high-grade plastic molds, simulating deformation testing, vibration in precise part design in industry and civil.

Optimization in modern machining: process optimization on non-traditional machining equipment such as EDM to improve product quality.Rapid prototyping technology (RP), reverse engineering (RE): principles, application and optimal development of the process.

Industrial mechatronic systems: Design and manufacture complex industrial mechatronic systems such as CNC numerical control machine tools. Products are available on the market: 3 and 5 axis CNC milling machines, electric spark pulse machine, packaging equipment system.

Finishing advanced materials (ceramics, magnesium alloys, aluminum alloys
