The meeting was attended by the Board of Management of the School of Mechanical Engineering, representatives from the Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering and the Department of Thermal and Energy, together with executives from Fujidempa Kogyo.
At the beginning of the session, two students from the School of Mechanical Engineering presented reports on their internship and research activities at Fujidempa Kogyo over the past three months. During their internship in Japan, the students directly participated in research activities related to thermal technology, equipment operation, and experiments conducted on the company’s high-temperature furnace systems. In addition to gaining experience in a professional working environment, the students also had the opportunity to experience Japanese corporate culture, enhance their research capabilities, teamwork skills, and international integration competencies.
According to the company’s evaluation, the students from the School of Mechanical Engineering demonstrated a serious and diligent working attitude, strong learning ability, and quick adaptability to the Japanese working environment. Their internship performance successfully met the professional requirements set by the company. Notably, following the internship and research period, both students were officially offered future employment opportunities by Fujidempa Kogyo.

During the cooperation discussion, both parties exchanged ideas and agreed on future directions for implementing internship and research programs. Accordingly, Fujidempa Kogyo will develop and propose specific research topics, while the School of Mechanical Engineering will select suitable students to conduct research projects and graduation work at the company for approximately three months.
The School will also strengthen communication efforts and connect faculty members whose expertise aligns with each research area, enabling them to co-supervise and support students throughout their projects. This model is expected to improve research quality while fostering stronger collaboration among industry, faculty members, and students.
Regarding the implementation plan for 2026, both parties agreed to organize student recruitment for the next internship program in the near future. Representatives of Fujidempa Kogyo stated that the company aims to maintain visits and working sessions with the School of Mechanical Engineering approximately twice a year. In particular, the company plans to visit the School in early October to conduct direct interviews with selected students in preparation for the internship program in Japan scheduled to begin in February of the following year.

The company representatives also emphasized that the cooperation program is not limited to research activities but also aims to identify, train, and recruit high-quality human resources. Students who demonstrate strong professional competence, meet job requirements, and wish to continue working with the company will be given priority consideration for recruitment after completing the internship program.
The meeting took place in an open and productive atmosphere, reflecting the commitment of both parties to expanding international cooperation in education, scientific research, and human resource development. The positive outcomes of the recent internship program provide an important foundation for the School of Mechanical Engineering and Fujidempa Kogyo to continue implementing practical cooperative activities, creating more opportunities for students in learning, research, and career development in the future.
