SME SPORT 2026 – PLAY WITH ALL YOUR HEART, PROUD STUDENTS OF THE SCHOOL OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING!

   This year's sports festival attracted hundreds of students participating in a variety of competitions. Specifically, the tug-of-war event featured 10 teams with 117 participants; basketball gathered 16 teams and 79 athletes; volleyball welcomed 4 teams with 29 participants; the arm-wrestling competition attracted 90 students, while the push-up contest saw the participation of 80 students.

    The enthusiastic response from students demonstrated the strong appeal of sports and physical activities throughout the school. On the playing fields and courts, spectacular performances, intense competitions, and enthusiastic cheers created an energetic atmosphere that truly reflected the spirit of youth at the School of Mechanical Engineering.

    Beyond medals and titles, SME Sport 2026 successfully fulfilled its mission of creating a healthy and beneficial playground for students, encouraging them to improve their physical well-being and embrace the spirit of “Healthy to study, healthy to contribute.” The event also provided an excellent opportunity for students from different classes and cohorts to meet, connect, build friendships, and strengthen solidarity and mutual support.

     In particular, the successful organization of SME Sport 2026 held special significance as part of a series of activities celebrating the 70th anniversary of Hanoi University of Science and Technology. The exciting matches, fair play, and enthusiastic participation of students helped spread pride and highlighted the dynamism, unity, and youthful spirit of students from the School of Mechanical Engineering and the university as a whole during this important milestone.

At the conclusion of the festival, the Organizing Committee presented awards to outstanding teams and individuals in each competition category.

   Representatives of the School of Mechanical Engineering and the Youth Union presented awards and congratulated the athletes and teams that achieved outstanding results in the sports festival.

   As SME Sport 2026 comes to an end, it leaves behind smiles, handshakes, moments of celebration, and above all, a spirit of solidarity, friendship, and dedication among the students. The success of the festival once again highlights the important role of extracurricular activities in creating a comprehensive educational environment, while contributing to the vibrant atmosphere leading up to the 70th anniversary of Hanoi University of Science and Technology.
