On the morning of June 20, 2026, the School of Mechanical Engineering (SME), Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST), in collaboration with Automech mechanical equipment and solutions joint stock company (Automech JSC), organized a networking and cooperation exchange program. The event provided an opportunity for both organizations to review the achievements of their partnership while exploring new directions for collaboration in education, research, and the development of highly qualified mechanical engineering professionals.

Cooperation Meeting between the School of Mechanical Engineering and Automech

    Prior to the seminar, representatives of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Automech held a working session to discuss future cooperation initiatives.

    Representing the School of Mechanical Engineering were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Viet Dung and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Hong Hai, Vice Deans of the School; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Tuan Anh, Head of the Department of Manufacturing Engineering; M.Sc. Nguyen Trong Thanh, Director of the Mechanical Engineering Technical Center; together with faculty members of the School.

    Representing Automech JSC were Mr. Ho Ngoc Toan, Deputy General Director; Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh, Human Resources Manager; and members of the company's management team.

Cooperation Meeting between the School of Mechanical Engineering and Automech

   During the meeting, both parties reviewed the achievements of their cooperation over recent years, including sponsorship of laboratory equipment, student internship programs, graduate recruitment, and career development activities. Building on these accomplishments, the two sides agreed to further strengthen their partnership through education, applied research, technology transfer, and the development of high-quality engineering talent.

     In his opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Viet Dung emphasized the important role of industry partnerships in enhancing application-oriented engineering education. He noted that Automech's continued support enables the School to keep pace with emerging technologies while providing students with opportunities to gain hands-on experience in modern manufacturing environments, thereby strengthening both their technical expertise and professional competencies.

    Representing Automech, Mr. Ho Ngoc Toan, Deputy General Director, shared the company's development journey and highlighted the successful cooperation established with the School of Mechanical Engineering over the years. He reaffirmed that Automech considers the School a strategic partner in educating and recruiting high-quality engineering talent.

   As part of the seminar, Automech specialists delivered presentations on advanced manufacturing technologies, introducing solutions for sheet metal fabrication and stamping technologies for automotive component manufacturing. These sessions provided faculty members and students with valuable insights into the latest technologies currently employed in industrial production.

    The program continued with the seminar "What Do Companies Expect from Mechanical Engineers?", during which the speakers discussed the technical knowledge, professional skills, innovative mindset, and adaptability required in today's manufacturing industry. Automech representatives also introduced the company's career development pathways, offering students practical guidance on employment opportunities and professional growth.

    The interactive Q&A session attracted active participation from both faculty members and students, covering topics such as internship opportunities, recruitment requirements, essential engineering competencies, and future trends in the mechanical engineering sector. Automech experts shared practical industry experiences and provided valuable advice to help students better prepare for their future careers.

   In his closing remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Hong Hai highly appreciated Automech's long-standing partnership with the School of Mechanical Engineering. He emphasized that closer collaboration with industry not only enhances the quality of engineering education but also enables faculty members and students to engage with advanced technologies, promote applied research, and foster innovation.
